Health Information Specialist Certificate

Specialize in health care information

Health information is the data related to a patient’s medical history, symptoms, diagnoses, procedures, and outcomes. With Dakota State’s program, you’ll qualify for entry-level health care positions and correlate the data between patient records and patient outcomes.

Our online classes give you optimal experience with electronic health record software. Know how to perform your job before getting into the field. Once there, you’ll register and initiate patient accounts within electronic health records while also inputting patient admission information into electronic registration systems.

Contribute to patient success

Health information specialists contribute greatly to patient success. They register patients, scan and index documents, and release health care information according to policies and regulations, all while protecting patient privacy.
